Founded by MiKayla Anders in 2018, recognized in 2026 as one of the top five pet sitters in the world.

Founder and Head Animal Assistant
MiKayla Anders
MiKayla Anders is the founder and owner of Adventures In Pet Sitting. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Environmental Studies from Kansas Wesleyan University and spent her early years just down the road from Rolling Hills Zoo, where she served as a Junior Zoo Keeper. She later worked at the Sedgwick County Zoo and a Salina doggy daycare before founding Adventures In Pet Sitting in 2018.
MiKayla is a CPPS — Certified Professional Pet Sitter through Pet Sitters International — and was named one of five finalists for PSI’s 2026 Pet Sitter of the Year. The award recognizes the best in-home pet care professionals in the world. She is also Pet Care Certified, Pet First Aid + CPCR Certified, and Disaster Relief Certified.
MiKayla started Adventures In Pet Sitting because there was a need in this community — most Salina families did not even know in-home pet care existed as an option. Eight years later, the same OG client from year one is still with us, still grateful, and still tells everyone she knows. “You’re a lifesaver. We didn’t even know you existed.”
